Around the time we released my band’s debut studio album “Chousand,” I designed a lookbook and merchandise lineup to build hype for the LP. Inspired by other bands like Code Orange, Turnstile, and Brockhampton, I started sketching my ideas. I knew I wanted the clothing to feel like an extension of the music we had written, so I turned to bright colors like deep reds, vivid yellows, and black, to play off the big, bold songs on the album. I complemented the energetic tone with bitmap-textured imagery. I then positioned the art I had pulled and placed relatable lyrics from our songs onto each item. I chose Helvetic Neue for its modern simplicity that both resonates with and contrasts the Chousand pop-punk vibe.
